Call for Interns

The Philippine Registry of Cultural Property (PRECUP) Office is looking for Interns tasked to improve, process, and research on information on Philippine cultural heritage in its database.

Minimum Requirements:

Students who are seeking on-the-job opportunities and wish to render a certain number of hours of cultural work in the NCCA;
Bachelor’s Degree holder, (Preferably Social Sciences, Humanities, Philippine Studies, Philippine Arts, Cultural Heritage, History, Anthropology, Sociology, Philosophy, Geography, or Political Science, or any related degrees);
Open to Fresh Graduates;
Analytical with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Can deal with all levels of the organization as well as transactions with various organizations and committees;
Pro-active and self-motivated; Excellent interpersonal skills.

Description of duties:

Improvement of existing data on cultural properties registered in the PRECUP, such as copy editing, assigning photos per cultural property, etc.
Encoding and processing of research materials on cultural properties and submission of cultural inventories coming from the national cultural agencies and local government units.
Fundamental research on cultural properties, particularly on presumed Important Cultural Properties, Works of National Artists, and Works of Manlilikha ng Bayan.
Drafting communication letters to LGUs and cultural agencies.
Participation in fieldwork activities to further understand the function of the PRECUP.
Other tasks which the Project Manager or Section Head may provide.
