JULY 2023 STATUS REPORT

We encourage the LGUs to submit their updated LCIs for the year 2023 before the annual deadline on December 15, 2023. Pursuant to the DILG-NCCA Joint Memorandum Circular 2021-001 or the Amended Guidelines on the Standardized Submission of LCI under the PRECUP for the Issuance of Certificate of Compliance (COC) to Local Government Units (LGUs). IN PHOTO: Wara-Wara Pasalamat Festival in Tubod, Surigao del Norte (Registered Property, Municipality of Tubod, Surigao del Norte) 

Wara-Wara Pasalamat Festival is an annual celebration of a bountiful harvest of Tuboranons. The festival is a way for the community to express gratitude for blessings received, particularly those related to bountiful harvests, good health, and other positive aspects of life. 

Various activities are typically organized during the festival, including religious processions, cultural performances, parades, street dancing, food fairs, and beauty pageants. These events showcase the region's rich cultural traditions, dances, music, and crafts while reinforcing the spirit of gratitude and unity among the community members.
