September 2023 STATUS REPORT
We encourage the LGUs to submit their updated LCIs for the year 2023 before the annual deadline on December 15, 2023. Pursuant to the DILG-NCCA Joint Memorandum Circular 2021-001 or the Amended Guidelines on the Standardized Submission of LCI under the PRECUP for the Issuance of Certificate of Compliance (COC) to Local Government Units (LGUs). The Mts. Iglit-Baco National Park (MIBNP) was proclaimed by virtue of R.A. No. 6148 dated November 11, 1970. Encompassing the central part of the island of Mindoro is a crucial conservation area known for its rugged terrain, encompassing lush slopes, winding river gorges, and sprawling plateaus. The park's diverse ecosystem shelters numerous species, notably the critically endangered Tamaraw, making it an essential sanctuary for preserving the region's natural heritage.
